This is one of the most practical 3D printing services we offer in Riga. Fridge handle broke, coffee grinder lid cracked, vacuum cleaner latch snapped, shelf bracket gave out — sound familiar? The manufacturer either does not sell these parts separately, or the replacement costs an unreasonable amount, or shipping takes a month. 3D printing solves the problem in a day or two and costs a fraction of the price.
Here is how it works: you photograph the broken part (ideally with a ruler for scale) and send it to us via messenger. If you have a second intact part — great, we will take precise measurements from it. If not — we will figure it out from the photo and description. We create a 3D model, confirm it with you, and print. Dimensional tolerance is ±0.2 mm, which is enough for a precise fit. If needed, we make a test piece to check the fitment, then print the final version.
We pick the material based on the task. For parts that do not bear load — PLA works fine. For mechanical parts that deal with friction or heat — PETG: it is stronger, more flexible, and handles temperatures up to 80°C. For parts under serious stress (hinges, brackets, car latches) — Nylon (engineering polyamide), which approaches engineering plastics in strength and wear resistance.
Examples of what we have already printed in Riga: washing machine feet, cabinet handles, blinds clips, drawer slides, battery compartment covers, car phone holders. If a part can be improved — we will suggest it: reinforce the wall, add a stiffening rib, make the mount more reliable than the original.
Recommended Material
We recommend PETG — stronger than PLA, heat-resistant. For max rigidity — Nylon.
