The Task
A customer needed a GoPro Hero mount for their bicycle handlebar. The stock plastic mount from the kit had broken, and the original costs €15+ with a long shipping wait.
Our Solution
We found a suitable model on Printables and adapted it to the exact handlebar diameter (31.8 mm). Printed in PETG — stronger than PLA, handles vibrations and temperature swings.
Print Settings
- Material: PETG (black)
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Infill: 60% (for durability)
- Print time: ~2 hours
- Weight: 28 g
Result
The mount works perfectly and holds the camera securely. Cost — a fraction of the original, but just as durable.
